Landscapes
Capturing a good landscape image I find one of the hardest tasks in photography. The end result, for me, rarely come close to capturing the majesty of the view I was looking at. The picture always seem to come out too flat. I try to ensure I follow all the ‘rules’. Remember the rule of three. Always have something in focus in foreground that gives scale. have something as well that leads the eye to vista, but even so the images still look flat.
As an example the images above of the Dolomites. They do not come close to capturing the magestic hugeness of those mountains. A couple of landscapes that have come out right, give a hint to maybe one other rule there should be about Landscapes . Try to capture the image when the sunlight adds depth. The early morning image in Grand Canyon works well. Still a little flat, but better.
