Herculaneum

Whilst the site at Herculaneum may not be as famous as its sister site Pompeii, and it doesn’t have the ‘living statues’ of those engulfed by the pyroclastic flow, the site, as excavated so far, give a more intimate insight into the life and time of the Romans in AD 79.
